What a hotel! Situated upon the beautiful cliffside of Ascona and with unparalleled vies to the lake and mountains this well groomed property was genuinely wonderful. I booked this last minute because I thought it was a good deal. I was really surprised on arrival. This is a very nice, modern hotel. Our room had a private patio overlooking the lake. Everything was perfect and I can't say enough about Colinetta. One mistake I made was to not get breakfast through Orbitz. We decided we wanted breakfast after we stayed the night and I think we ended up paying a little more for it.

A very nice stay
A wonderful short trip to Collinetta. Beautiful weather in a beautiful spot. The view is incredible. The room very new (and also still smelled very new). The garden was very inviting and the team tried the best to make us feel comfortable. The only downside: On Hotels.com there is no mentioning that December - February the hotel is operated as Garni. This has the impact, that the restaurant is closed, and worst: The swimmingpool is closed. We learned about this the day before arrival - to short for any changes. However, the team find a way to compensate for this - which we very much appreciated.
