The staff was very friendly and the building looks good. But the hallways and rooms are full of dust like nobody has vacuumed in a long long time. I even saw some dead insects. The bathrooms were ok and the ammenities are good too.

The place is really outdated, broken sliding glass door handle, shower had hair left in it, there was sticky stuff all over the desk in the room. We really wanted more from this historic hotel.

Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, balcony views, professional and friendly staff, excellent housekeeping. This is a special place to stay, and we always enjoy being here.

Trash! This hotel was one of the worst things I’ve had to experience. Checking in was good and dandy actually got checked in 30min prior got to 12th floor at 3:30 there was a pile of blankets sheets towels etc outside the elevator door probably 2 rooms worth, looked past it thinking housekeeping doing their job. Got unpacked played on the beds with the kids inspected the sheets for spots and whatnot because I’ve heard of bed bugs and never actually seen one. Just sketched. Room was typically clean. Left around 4:30 to go to the aquarium and explore the city. Get back to the hotel room around 9:30 go swimming. Adults vaping in the pool area. Pool lights out of pool with wires hanging no towels. Go back up to the room pile of laundry still laying outside of elevator door around 10:45pm wife was itching her leg after being in the room for 10 minutes thinking she had a spider bite thought nothing of it she had to run daughter to the ER for ear pain around 11 she got back to the room around 12 got the daughter in bed we were standing between the two beds talking about the ER trip when we seen a little bug crawl across the blanket on the bed I just put my daughter in grabbed it with a baby wipe and the wife took it to the front desk they confirmed it was a bed bug and offered to switch rooms we left the hotel at 1:45 am pile of laundry still by elevator doors and traveled 3.5 hours back home now we have a trunk full of luggage in trash bags I just want to burn iPads and all

It was a little dated, but we LOVED IT. All the dood, from room service, to the eighteen rotating restaurant on top floor was amazing.

First of all, the hallways smelled like smoke. When we got into our room, I cannot tell you how many stains were on the bed. It started with the comforter, but when I lifted the sheet, and then the fitted to check for bed bugs, there were many more. I found several beard/pubic-looking hairs, along with many brown and red stains. Not to mention the nastiest carpet I’ve seen in a LONG time (probably even ever). I am not exaggerating. We asked to switch rooms, and were given an upgrade to a higher floor. That floor also reeked of cigarettes. The situation in the new room was actually worse. Our friends were just down the hall on that floor, and had a similar situation. We ultimately decided we could not stay there. The young male employee at the front desk was so kind to us, and we really tried not to make a big deal out of it. After all, it’s not his fault. We just politely told him we couldn’t stay there because the rooms were really unsanitary. He made a note on his computer, and told us to call back the next day when the manager would be there to ask for a refund. The manager was also easy to work with, and authorized a refund for us for both nights. I’m under the impression that this hotel used to be “the spot to be” back in the day, and our friends we were traveling with had even stayed there in 2009 and remembered it being pretty nice hotel. I’m not sure what has changed over the years, but it was hands down the worst hotel I have ever seen in terms of cleanliness.
