incredibly disappointed in how they decide to close the pool/hot tub at the slightest dusting of snow. I read other negative reviews that the outdoor areas had been closed because of “icy” conditions so when we checked in, I confirmed that the outdoor area was open as we were traveling with kids and it was our number one reason for choosing this location. We were told it was open, however we tried to go out and there were locks on the gate. At this point, it was not snowing at all and we had gotten may be two or 3 inches of snow. We went to the front desk and were told that the pool has been closed because it was too dangerous and icy. I asked the girl at the front desk if she hadn’t even looked outside… But of course it wasn’t her that made the decision so I asked to talk to the person who did, which was a security guard. He told me that it was way too dangerous because of “the massive amount of snow.” I literally cannot make this up. I asked him if he had actually even gone out there before making this decision. There was no ice or snow around the pool or hot tub. I asked to talk to his superior. After half an hour, we got them to open the pool. Upon waking up the next day, the pool was again locked. We called down and we’re told it was too icy. It was literally sunny and 48° outside. I wish I could post pictures showing what it looked. Zero safety concerns. It makes no sense why they would do this…it’s Colorado, it snows.

Our stay was enjoyable, the reason for the 4 was that one of the restaurants was closed for repairs. which in turn we had to leave to get dinner. Staff was nice and helpful, and the resort is beautiful. Breakfast at the resort is top notch. Thanks

Everything was great other than our experience at the hot tub. We went around 8:30 PM and there were four HS kids with some other people. The high school kids clearly broke into the pool area and were not staying at the hotel. They kept talking about what they wanted to do next and planned on going back to one kids parents house to get some things and keep partying. They made a mess of the jacuzzi area. When we were ready to leave we went to get towels and they were gone. I called the front desk and asked for me. The second more were brought, the high school kids took ALL of them. So, we called again and asked for more. After 15 minuets of waiting and no more towels, we decided to try to walk back to the hotel lobby to ask for some. We had to walk barefoot on the snow and ice because we didn’t want to put our shoes back on when we were soaking wet. This was not a fun experience at all.

So gross. We stayed there and our sheets were DISGUSTING. It looked like they didn’t change them, just made the bed. The fitted sheet, top sheet, pillows, etc. ALL had stains or something on them. I called the front desk and asked for new sheets and they told me they didn’t have the staff to get us new ones. So we would just have to sleep on them??? They offered to remove some fees, but it was like $20.00 worth of fees for us to sleep on gross sheets. When we checked out, we found out they didn’t even remove the fees… The desk was super sweet and I understand being short staffed but there was no effort to truly remedy our issue. There are a ton of hidden fees, and if you ask for an itemized list for check out they’ll make up something of why they can’t give it to you. There are fees for parking, resort fees (even if you don’t use any of the amenities, and they’ll charge you again for using them), breakfast fees, cleaning fees… I wouldn’t be surprised if there are fees for actually breathing at the resort lol. It all felt a little money grabby, and I get that’s just hospitality/resorts but it was a little much. If you prepay for breakfast, make sure you remind the front desk or they will forget to give you your voucher and you’ll be out $20 a person you paid for.
