We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Campbell House. Staff were helpful and informative and the accommodation has charm and character. The location in central Georgetown suited us perfectly. We were pleased with the wide choice of restaurants nearby and that temples, museums, markets and other places of interest were within easy walking distance. Very nice breakfast and a comfortable bed added to the experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Campbell House. Beautiful hotel , very comfortable and clean and absolutely wonderful staff. Perfect location for Georgetown. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Boutique Hotel with charm in the perfect location
We stayed at Campbell House after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. The owners were very helpful and spent a considerable amount of time showing us on a local map the must see places and eateries.
We stayed in the Malaya room and it was thoughtfully decorated with beautiful curtains, daybed, largest King Bed, flat screen TV. Also, the little extras like peach iced tea in the fridge and a scrumptious desert left every night.
Breakfast was included in the tariff and it was more than adequate. Servings of fruit, breads, hot breakfast, juice, yoghurt pot and tea and coffee.
A delightful place to stay in the heart of the heritage site. We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to family and friends.

Highly recommended
Location:Campbell House was perfectly located to explore Georgetown and Penang, and always easy to find after a day of exploring and sightseeing.
We enjoyed our stay at Campbell House. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day.
Cons:Footsteps audible from the room above. The hand-held shower hose seemed to limit water flow when compared to the shower rose.
Location:Mini-mart handy, shopping mall and bus interchange less than 400m walk.
One of my pet peeves of hotels is being forced to make a choice between sleeping-in or getting up early enough to catch the provided breakfast. Campbell House circumvents this problem by making breakfast available until midday. And what a Western breakfast it is - worth getting up early for in any case. Cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, eggs, tea/coffee, sausages, mushrooms, etc. More than enough to prepare you for the day ahead.
The staff are well informed with lots of advice about what to do, where to go, and what to eat. The hotel's location is convenient to the historic old town area and lots of good eating places are nearby. Local traffic noise is not a problem for light sleepers and the blackout curtains do a good job of keeping the room dark. Laundry charges are very reasonable and room toiletries are all excellent quality.

The owners make.you feel part of the family. Great rooms but you can hear traffic noise. Highly recommend.

Fabulous hotel, beautifully restored character building with great decor.
Lots of nice touches - cake/desserts, ice tea in fridge, coffee maker, superior soaps, shampoo etc.
Well located in the old town. Close to good local restaurants and sights.
Friendly staff, especially Nadya (co owner)- lots of useful local tips an advice.
Along with a restaurant, there's a coffee shop/cafe on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Public spaces have free WiFi. An airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and an area shuttle are available for a fee. A rooftop terrace, a library, and tour/ticket assistance are also featured at the boutique Campbell House. Parking is available for a fee. This Colonial George Town hotel is smoke free.
