Our family enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the property. It was clean, well equipped, friendly staff. We read previous comments about lack of kitchen equipments and cutlery. However, our apartment had everything provided, we were able to heat up some food. We also found the apartment quite roomy and comfortable. I hope the communication could have been better for the actual check-in/out location that need to climb some steps to get to. However, once we are familiar to get around the place, it is very convenient. After all, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Stylish boutique hotel

Comfortable stylish experience. A little off the beaten track when in foot but very helpful English speaking staff

The trade-off

Nestled on the side of a mountain looking out over an impressive valley, this secluded hotel can be a little inconvenient to get to if the holiday-maker be elderly or unfit. Walking the streets to get there is a tad risky as there are no footpaths, an adventure none the less! We accidentally left our refrigerated medication behind and went back for it later that afternoon. They had kindly saved it for us in their office fridge. Great service!

Real Japanese Feel

Pros: The Japanese feel, the lovely staff and the view was good too.
Cons: This place would not be for a person that couldn't carry their own bag up 3 flights of stairs
Location: Close to the the Tourist Cable Car and is in a quiet and peaceful location
The staff were lovely and the room was much bigger than any others we'd stayed in. We had the real Japanese experience by sleeping on the floor and the couch was sitting on the floor but was comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped but there's only one convenience store near by but has everything you'd need for a couple of days. There's not lots near by but very close to the tourist Cable Car and made a good base for attractions in the area. We were welcomed and farewelled by the lovely staff and even received a present.
