Fantastic old style hotel with a beautiful garden and pool area to relax. The staff were always helpful and the location is good - 10 min walk from Thamel.

The staff at hotel Shanker are what make the hotel! So friendly and funny. The hotel could do with a little update here and there otherwise great stay and calm vibe in a crazy city!

Nice hotel in middle of city

Quite good. Construction noise during day a pain. Ask for a quiet room IMHO.

Nice hotel in good location

Pros: The location, staff and pool.
Cons: Hot water for shower.
Location: Near Thamel and good taxi services for other activities.
Hotel currently under renovation so we could not see all of it. No hot shower but we did not complain. Staff good. Lovely pool and gardens to cool down on a hot day. Near Thamel tourist shopping district.
