Family Weekend Trip for MegaCon 2024
It was a great stay. Spent 3 nights to stay with my teenage daughter and her friends for MegaCon weekend. The hotel has some nice upgrades throughout - the main waterpark was open most of the time but a little too cold to swim (I wish the water was heated like all of the other pools, but its fine). The only negative would be all the "gates" going through the pools, etc. They should ALL be unlocked for ease of passage. We noticed a few were locked so we had to walk all the way around the large waterpark area just to get to breakfast and/or the arcade if you're staying in the far back buildings of the hotel (Building 9 was ours). Otherwise, great trip. Will return. This is our second(2) stay at Coco Key. Also, they need to do something about the Coffee Machine in the Breakfast Buffet area, when pouring the coffe it leaks coffee grounds and some kind of dark sludge - not appealing to drink at all. And don't get me started on the Starbucks on sight. The coffee tasted like MOLD. The locat starbucks just around the corner says they get a lot of complaints from this on-site Starbucks. Something should be done to check the quality of their water access.
