Birthday trip
Hotel was clean and had good breakfast. Had a wonderful city view on the 23rd floor. Aside from for the wait staff in the restaurant who were excellent, the service was bad. We called at 9 am to ask if we could check in early and were told the room would be ready by 2. Received a text welcoming us and asking if there was anything we would need. I specifically asked for extra bedding for the pullout couch that my teenage son would need. Manager said he would check on our room but never came back. Waited almost 2 hours in the hotel lobby for our room to be ready. Had already valeted the car and had all luggage. Did get $50 toward restaurant meal to compensate. No bedding in room for pullout couch. Asked cleaning staff in another room for bedding and another towel as there were only 3 towels for 4 guests. I had registered 4 guests. Still did not receive bedding or towel. Had to ask front desk clerk on way to dinner and still did not receive. Called the operator and was finally sent the bedding and towel and the person delivering it hesitated as if to wait for a tip!
