The power went out several times. The toilets do not flush well. Some friends had issues with no hot water. The "included" food and drinks at the buffet and bars were average. More/better drink options at the "casino," but it's only open 6 PM - 2 AM. There was a lot of confusion about when you could make dinner reservations for the non-buffet restaurants. There are no dance clubs onsite, despite advertising that there are 4 of them. This was my first all inclusive experience, so I can't really compare it to anything else.

It was a good choice for a few days break. It's a massive vacation club combining hotel, apartments, suites and villas for a village sized complex with many pools and restaurants behind the beach front. You don't get access to all areas depending on your wrist band status, plus specialist restaurants need be booked well in advance. Our room in original Palm Resort was dated but clean and comfortable. Everything worked in our and was keep clean. The Gardens / Grounds are lovely and everything was sign posted in English so fairly easy to navigate you way around. The Food was good and plentaful and drinks was okay. Many Bars, swimming and beach areas to choose from plus day and night day shoes in some areas. Overall pleassnt stay, no complaints!

The staff is terrible they say no to everything they are not helpful at all and they just dont care rooms are run down old and dirty the main pool area is horrible it need urgent repair, drinks are terrible not alot of food variety always the same things at the buffet and food it tasteless i have a terrible experience and asked for management and they were never available. Do your self a favor and Stay away from this resort they should not be in business. Do not recommend at all worst resort i have been to and worst experience. STAY AWAY!

We were mistreated by the sales rep on the second day we stayed at the Confresi Palm Beach in Porto Plata. She worked in the membership department and constantly implied that my friend and I were gay and in a relationship, even after we denied that we were in a relationship. This seemed inappropriate and homophobic. Adding insult to injury, we heard her say the word "maricon" to someone during our time with her. If she thought we were gay why would she be using that word within earshot? I wouldn't recommend this resort to ANYONE. Especially LGBTQ people.
