This was our 3rd time coming to the property in about the last 4 years. We enjoy coming here as we have children and appreciated a predictable place. When we first visited this resort it was shortly after renovation and it was in great shape and beautiful, it was also not very crowded. This time around we noticed that a few things needed maintenance and the resort didn't have quite the glamour of the first trip. The restaurant selection is great, but this time around reservations were something new and a bit of extra effort is required to remember to log into the app and book diners ever day. We felt the food was good, but not as good as we remembered it the first couple of times we came here. We still thing this is a great option for a resort, but the experience is different now with many more visitors and a much busier atmosphere. We would recommend one extra tram be added during the morning and evening rush to help make that experience smoother for everyone.

Nice beach. Widest stretch in that particular area. Food was hit or miss. The rooms were updated and lovely with large modern bathrooms, but getting anything (pillows, extra sheets, etc.) was slow and frustrating to say the least. Ask for a bungalow near to the beach and pool as these are not an extra charge and they will accommodate if you get a good front desk person.

Landscaping is top tier and gorgeous. We enjoyed walking the resort as there is also an ecological zoo. Animals roaming free, palm trees galore and beautiful atmosphere morning day or night. Food is okay… manageable as you find your favorites and stick to them. Blended alcoholic drinks could use some improvement. Something just didn’t hit. Platinum coffee shop very nice with delicious pastries. Rooms are clean and I enjoyed the layout and space.

The hotel is very nice overall and I would recommend staying here. Positives: We loved the hotel room suite and bathroom, it was private, spacious, comfortable and clean with its own balcony. The beach is beautiful and the grounds are clean and well kept. After you check out you can stay on premises and eat the rest of the day at the buffets. The food at the buffets was good, not wow but good. We had a waitress, a lady named Santa, that was wonderful - she should get a raise, she gave us exceptional service (the best in all DR actually). Negatives: The reception staff is extremely unfriendly. They acted like we were bothering them, especially a guy named Jhonson. Reservations for dinner at a restaurant have to be placed before 3pm, but check in is at 3pm so they make it impossible - Jhonson told me that the restaurants were not fully booked but even so he refused to help us. They purposely make you go back and forth with your bags (you can't take them to the reception area so then you go back to get them after checking in but you need a ticket, then you cant go to the room by yourself, or anywhere else, you have to wait for someone to take you and they take their time) they make it impossible to get to the last available buffet before it closes at 4pm. The alcohol they give is the lowest quality you can possibly imagine.

I stayed seven nights at this resort and enjoyed my time here as a solo traveler. The resort is beautiful. Lovely grounds with a mangrove and peacocks walking round. Lovely balconies on which to relax from each room. It is very much a family hotel Children playing and running in the restaurants but you can find tranquil areas The staff were friendly and helpful Particularly Santa, Miguel, Raúl and Roberto. My room did have many mosquitos which despite being sprayed continued to be a problem and I did get bitten in the room because of this The cleaning could also do with being improved I felt the bathroom was not cleaned properly each day with hairs and dead mosquitos on my arrival but staff try to help once issues pointed out Rooms could do with some maintenance and upgrades for a more luxury comfortable feel Overall a very good all inclusive hotel and I would stay again.
