Pros- staff are friendly, hotel restaurant is good. Buffet breakfast included with room. Free parking if you can get a spot. Good location downtown. Cons- double bed is two singles pushed together, which wouldn't be an issue if the quilt was a double instead of two singles horizontal across the bed. Room is very compact, we travel light but if you bring a big suitcase I have no idea where you would store it. Bathroom set up isn't great as the toilet and shower are combined. Very thin walls (we were lucky to have quiet neighbors) My main suggestion to the hotel would be to clean up the spa area. Lots of guests leave empty drink glasses and cans by the hot tub. When the staff come down with drinks could they not pick some up? Coming from Canada this is a 3 star, has the necessities but not upscale. Good for a place to sleep, but expensive for what it is.

Perfectly situated in the main shopping district of Central Reykjavik. Close to restaurants, bars, the harbour and main attraction. A clean, modern and very comfortable hotel. Good breakfast and even better dinner (we ate at the hotel on our second night). Highly recommended.

Staff was excellent and universally helpful and friendly. Wonderful, clean facility. Breakfast was decent quality. Coffee was subpar, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, a wonderful experience and would stay there again.

This hotel is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Rooms were quaint but perfect size for what you need. Breakfast being included was HUGE. A lot of places are not open that early and if you want breakfast before a tour for the day, you'd be on your own, but not here. Breakfast was tasty and small but had all the essentials of both American and European styles. Location here was huge, being right at the end of the main road in downtown was crucial for exploring. You can do a loop of the two main roads and shore line and end up right back at your hotel. Convenience store around the corner should you need anything. Also bus stop 13 being directly outside was massive for booking tours because they all stop at these bus stops for pickup and you don't have to travel at all to get picked up. Definitely recommended.
