Air New Zealand, based in Auckland, flies to many exciting and exotic locations nationally as well internationally. Across the two major islands of New Zealand, Air New Zealand caters to 26 destinations from Kaitaia, Auckland, Tauranga, Gisborne, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Queenstown to Invercargill.

Internationally the Air New Zealand airline covers Australasia and the South Pacific islands like Fiji, Cook Islands, Tahiti, Samoa, Niue, and Tonga providing services to Europe including Paris and London, North America, including Honolulu, LA, New York, San Francisco and Asia, including Tokyo and Singapore.

Air New Zealand airlines offer flights out of the major Australian airports including Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

Aboard Air New Zealand

You will get the real taste of luxury aboard Boeing 747 and Boeing 777. The refurbished interiors provide you with a more comfortable seat that, unlike some other airlines is equipped with a personal LCD screen in the back of every seat. You can choose from three types of air ticket:

Air New Zealand Pacific Class (Economy class tickets)
This is the main cabin where the seats have a flexible edge seat base that provides more leg support in the reclined position. The entertainment equipment has been mounted below the seats in such a way so as to maximise the space available to you. Each and every seat in the main cabin has an 8.4" personal LCD screen that is linked to the system.

Air New Zealand Pacific Premium Class (Premium Economy class airfares)
The seats in this class are in a dedicated cabin that shares the lavatories with the Business Class. The seats are wider and more comfortable with additional legroom than the Pacific Class. Premium economy class has the lavishness of the Business Class that includes mood lighting, wine selection and inseat power for electronic devices such as laptops.

Air New Zealand Business Premier Class (Business class air fares)
This class takes you in the lap of luxury with seats that can be converted into flat-beds. The seats are configured in such a way that you have direct access to the aisle from your seat.

Frequent Flyer's Programme

Airpoints is the Frequent Flyer's Programme of Air New Zealand. You can become a member of Air New Zealands Airpoints program online or you can contact your nearest Airpoint Service Centre for the details. You have the opportunity to earn Airpoints Dollars that can be redeemed at face value on any fare on every Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flight. You have the chance of earning Airpoints Silver, Gold, and Gold Elite. The following are the benefits;

Air New Zealand Silver frequent flyer rewards

  • One single-use entry coupon to an Air New Zealand operated Koru Club or International Lounge. Koru Club is Air New Zealands airport lounge service and Airpoint membership includes access to to the Koru Club Lounge as well as Star Alliance airport lounges internationally.

  • One complimentary one-class, one-sector upgrade, which may be confirmed 48 hours prior to travel. (Not valid for Pacific Premium to Business Premier upgrades on long-haul services)

Air New Zealand Gold frequent flyers program

  • Two non-transferable complimentary, one-class, one-sector upgrades. Upgrades can be confirmed up to three days before the flight.
  • May gift rewards to two nominees which are not part of their household
  • Priority boarding on some services
  • Priority check-in
  • No expiry of Airpoints Dollars while at this tier or higher
  • Preferred Seating
  • If a resident of New Zealand, a subscription to the Gold Airpoints Koru Review magazine
  • Priority waitlisting and airport standby
  • Access to all Koru Club and Air New Zealand International Lounges with one guest prior to flights
  • An additional baggage allowance of 20kg or 1 piece depending on the route flown
  • Priority luggage handling
  • Access to the Premium Service Team when telephoning in, on the priority phone numbers
  • The ability to purchase discounted longhaul Business Class rewards using Airpoints Dollars, with extra capacity for Gold and Gold Elite Airpoints members.
  • A hotel/rental car voucher. (This benefit must be redeemed on Friday through Sunday, and is valid for up to three days.)

Air NZ Gold Elite frequent flyer rewards

  • May bring five guests into the Air NZ operated Koru Club and International lounges
  • May gift rewards to up to four different people annually
  • A partner card, providing some of the benefits of this status to their partner when travelling on Air New Zealand operated services.
  • Complimentary Upgrades are transferable and upgrades could clear up to 12 months before the flight
  • Receive five 24-hour non-transferable valet parking coupons valid at WLG, AKL and CHC, along with one Hotel and one Rental Car voucher (instead of one or the other for Gold tier)

The special offers include Round the World Special that is up to 26,000, 29,000, 34,000 and 39,000 miles, High Season and Low Season fares and a Year-round air fares.
