Santiago based LAN Airlines is Chile's major airline and South America's 2nd largest. Previously flying as Lan Chile, it was rebranded as LAN Airlines in 2004. LAN started in 1929 and took over Ladeco (Chile's second airline) in 1995 and Fast Air 3 years later.
