Just Back From ...

What a great city to take a quick weekend break away from Sydney!

Christchurch is very English in feel, very quaint and it’s easy to feel relaxed straight away. The people are great, the food is even better with many great cafes and restaurants to choose from. It’s also surprisingly lively for such a small city.

Flying with Emirates means the timings are perfect for maximising your time away. The flight departs Sydney at 750am and arrives in Christchurch at 1245 which gives you enough time to check in to your hotel and then have a wander into the city for lunch. The flight home departs Christchurch at 610pm and arrives in Sydney at 725pm, again perfect timing.

I have to say that the service on board Emirates is exceptional. The crew could not do enough for us and my experience was that they actually enjoyed serving us which can be rare these days. We flew economy class on the flight over and business class on the way back.

Economy class is great and the seats are comfortable. You also get videos on demand - a huge range ... just a pity the flight is so short - you only get to watch one movie!

Business class is fantastic and the seats are VERY comfortable. The food and service in both classes is great and the inflight entertainment system is fantastic.

I recommend Christchurch for a weekend away and I highly recommend Emirates!
