Paphos Awaits ...

It's been three years since I have had a great holiday. I can tell you I am sooo excited, I am jumping out of my skin!

The thought of waking up every morning and looking out over one of the most beautiful views in the world, feeling that glorious summer sun on my face, just sends shivers up my spine.

Am I prepared for this? You bet. With two kids under seven I've been packing and unpacking for weeks. Especially Miss 3 years, who thinks her holidays should be like Pooh Bear's, with all her friends tagging along for the ride. I've been discovering all kinds of furry friends hiding in the suitcase lining.

I am off to the lovely island of Cyprus, the tiny little island between Greece and Turkey. We are staying in a little secluded part of the island far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

What am I going to do?

In the morning I'll eventually wake and open the shutters to the beautiful blue ocean. Then I'll feast on a huge breakfast, whilst the kids play in the sand under the restaurant umbrellas - very handy!

Then we'll stroll down to the water and take a yacht ride to the other end of the island. This is the best beach I have ever seen anywhere in the world, and let me tell you I have travelled far and wide!

We'll laze in the sun and cool off in the gorgeous turquoise water, while the locals prepare a delicious lunch on the yacht.

In the evening, we will head back to the mainland for a shower and siesta (it's almost illegal not to sleep in the afternoon!). Babysitters organised, it's time to get ready for the nightlife! We'll relax with a drink as the sun tucks in behind the sea, enjoy a romantic beachside dinner of the freshest fish and delicious salads, and then try a few moves on the dancefloor to work it all off.

Imagine a secluded little fishing village, cobbled streets, bars, restaurants, no cars, and a classically beautiful Mediterranean beach overlooking the bluest of blue water.

The place is called Paphos…and I'm going there today!!
