Greek Odyssey Mykonos Santorini /Crete/Rhodes
DAY 1: Athens Mykonos Morning transfer from Athens hotel to Piraeus port for ferry to Mykonos. DAY 2: Mykonos Mykonos has a lot to offer. For sun-worshippers there are fine golden beaches, for shoppers elegant boutiques and for party goers great nightlife. (B) DAY 3: Mykonos Take a short ferry trip to visit the ancient site on the island of Delos. In mythology it is said that Delos is the birthplace of Apollo, the god of light and music. (B) DAY 4: Mykonos Santorini Ferry to magical Santorini and overnight. (B) DAY 5: Santorini Thira is the capital of Santorini with breathtaking landscape created from a volcanic eruption which has been linked to the lost city of Atlantis. Create your own holiday with excursions to the volcano, Akrotiri and Kamari Beach. (B) DAY 6: Santorini The village of Oia offers the most beautiful sunsets in Europe. A unique opportunity to sail by caique to see the Volcanic Rocks, swim in the Hot Springs & visit traditional island of Thirassia. (B) DAY 7: Santorini Crete Ferry from Santorini to Heraklion. Crete has a great history and was the gateway for civilization for the whole world. Heraklion is located nearly in the centre of Crete and has the largest port on the island. (B) DAY 8: Heraklion Today visit the ancient site of Knossos Palace and the excellent museum. (B) DAY 9: Heraklion Chania Travel to the charming, Venetian harbour town of Chania, Cretes major attraction. (B) DAY 10: Chania A unique experience, and the most visited, is the 18 kms walk at the Gorge of Samaria. You will experience flowing waters, growth of unique fauna and trees that shadow the traveller. (B) DAY 11: Chania Heraklion
Rhodes Return to Heraklion for your evening flight to Rhodes (Airfare
not included). In spite of the many invaders of the Dodecanese, Rhodes
has still not lost its cultural heritage. DAY 12: Rhodes Walk through the old town surrounded by the medieval walls with the palace of grand master and the Knights Quarter where the Knights of St John lived or bathe in the crystal clear water of Ixia beach. (B) DAY 13: Rhodes Walking the streets of Rhodes will fill you with images of the past, particularly the Colossos of Rhodes. Visit the spellbound village of Lindos by boat or if its action you want, head for cosmopolitan area of Faliraki by night. We suggest a day trip to the neighbouring quaint island of Symi.
