Flights to Fiji: cheap airfares and airline information

What airlines offer flights to Fiji? Qantas offers code-sharing flights with Fiji’s Air Pacific. They depart daily from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to Nadi airport. Hail from New Zealand? Air New Zealand also offers a number of flights from Auckland and Wellington as well as major international cities.

Fiji Nadi Airport is the largest in the region and the hub for flights from Australia and New Zealand. The airport is located on the west coast of Viti Levu, 10 km from Nadi Town. It offers one terminal, with a number of services including:

1. Food outlets: Café’s and restaurants that specialise in fresh Fijian coffee.
2. Travel Services: Showers to frsshen up and relax and baggage services and storage facilities.
3. Retail outlets: Shopping, convenience stores and newsagents are positioned prior to security checking points. After security, there are two large duty free stores. ATM facilities are also available, as well as a 24-hour ANZ bank in the arrivals terminal.
4. Information desk: Located in the main terminal building, this is the ideal spot for visitors who have any questions about Fiji or their travels. Many tour operators are also on hand to discuss holiday plans or provide information about various Fijian attractions.

1. Taxis are available outside the terminal.
2. Rental cars can be arranged at the airport, which is located 8 kms northeast of town. Don’t be afraid of getting lost, there are clear sign posts to avoid that! Suva, which is 144 km away from Nadi airport,  is also clearly signposted.
3. Local air conditioned buses such as the Sunset Express run twice a day between Lautoka and Suva. They leave Nadi Airport daily at 09:45 and 15:45, with arrival in Suva at 13:15 and 19:15. Many hotels and guesthouses also provide transport; however, this needs to be pre-arranged.

November to April is the tropical rain season in Fiji, with fairly high temperatures. At other times, enjoy warm sunny days with relatively low humidity. Fiji rarely experiences winter seasons/temperatures.
