Which Airlines offer flights to Paris CDG?

Airlines flying into Paris' busiest airport include Qantas, Emirates, KLM, Air New Zealand , China Airlines, Thai Airways, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, British Airways amongst others. The Main Paris Airport is Charles De Gaulle Airport. Roissy Charles De Gaulle to give it its full title, or CDG for short is the main international hub of Paris. Located 23 km Northeast of the city, CDG is the country’s busiest airport – easily servicing more international airlines than any other airport.

Getting to and from CDG Paris

  • Taxi – expect to pay approx 38 Euros for the 30 minute plus journey to central Paris
  • Buses – Roissy Bus service operates a route from all three CDG terminals to central Paris every 20 minutes.
  • Rail – In Terminal two you’ll find the national railways helpdesk. Rail services run from the airport to various districts in Paris

Which Airlines offer flights to Paris Beauvais?

Beauvais Airport is about an hours’ train ride away from Paris proper and as the train departs from the town of Beauvais itself, a 15–minute taxi ride from the Airport, Beauvais is not the first choice of many when flying to Paris. No surprise then that it is utilised primarily by low cost airlines including Ryanair, Wizzair and Blue Air. Beauvais Airport is situated apprx 80 km to the North of Paris. There is a regularly scheduled bus service from the airport to Paris Port Maillot and a train service from the nearby town of Beauvais to Paris Gare du Nord.

Airport Facilities

This is a ’low cost airport’ and as such, doesn’t feature the facilities of CDG for example. Basics such as toilets, baby change areas and a snack bar are about the extent of services on hand

Finally we come to Orly Airport, this is the closest airport to Paris located a mere 14 km South of Paris. A few of the major players including British Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, Olympic and American Airlines offer flights into Orly.

Getting to and from Orly and Paris

  • Taxi – A 20 minute drive into central Paris will cost you apprx 40 Euros.
  • Buses –  Jetbus will take you to a Metro station, which allows you access to quick and relatively cheap connections within Paris Public buses and Air France Coaches travel frequently to different sections of the city.
  • Trains –  A shuttle links you to a National Rail Service train to the Gare de Austerlitz

When should I fly to Paris?

In general spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit Paris, as winters are dreary and summers oppressively hot. The Festival of the Imaginary is held in spring and is a multicultural celebration of drama, dancing and other visual performances. The Festival of Autumn spanning a 4–month period late in the year celebrating features a wide spectrum of performing arts.
