Transport to and from the airport is relatively convenient as buses run every 30 minutes to the city with a drive of one hour. The Subway is another option with transfers to the Air Train, a monorail train that goes to all the terminals. Taxis are not recommended for the budget traveller as they are known to be quite expensive.
