This tour links two cosmopolitan capitals of Santiago and Buenos Aires, revealing the highlights of the Patagonian Lake District. Traveling south from Santiago's temperate climates, we call in at some of the prettiest towns in the Lake District, which also offer a host of possibilities for exhilarating outdoor activities.
Spending over a week in this area gives us the opportunity to enjoy the lakes, mountains and volcanoes, before traveling across the heartland of Argentina to the Valdes Peninsula. Arriving at the east coast, we go in search of wildlife and there's the opportunity to maybe spot sea lions, whales, orcas or even penguins.
Heading north, dusty desert gives way to the rolling Pampas grasslands as our adventure draws to a close. But what better place to end our tour than the City That Never Sleeps, Buenos Aires.
