San Francisco was beautiful, but it is indeed the city of fog and wind!
The first day we got there we were given free time to venture out on our own. Me and some of the girls decided that we would spend our time shopping and checking out Macy’s the famous department store.
After spending almost half our cash on the first day we decided it was best to get back to our lovely hotel room in Union Square for a rest then dinner with the group. We packed in two city sight seeing tours which took us everywhere. The Hop on hop off bus was delightful as we could sit and watch the attractions from the top of the bus. We did an awesome biking riding tour over the Golden Gate bridge, it was a really foggy day and half of the bridge was covered but that just added to the excitement. It felt like we were riding through heaven over the bridge as we could only see clouds and nothing below us. Alcatraz prison was definitely worth the trip, so many stories to be told about that place you really feel for the prisoners which were trapped there. Other interesting things we did include catching a cable car up the hills, riding past the squiggliest road in the world, lunch cruise through the harbour. I also saw all of my favourite stars at the Wax Museum and ate the famous sourdough bread at Fisherman’s wharf. I wish I could have spent more time there and also seen more of America but I guess I will just have to go back one day! |
