After a long journey down arrived at the hotel to find that unfortunately the free street parking outside was full so had to use the hotel car park. No issues with the car park apart from the price (£12 per day)Checked in and were told we'd been allocated one of the cottages. The cottages are quite spacious with two double beds and are great for families with chidren. Espcially in summer as you can go out the patio door across the grass to the outside pool. It was quite dull when we arrived and the lighting in the cottages does leave a lot to be desired so we didn't really pay that much attention to the decor. The next morning was bright and sunny and we soon noticed a stain down the ceiling and wall in one corner where it looked as though someone had thrown food. In addition a thick layer of dust on the small table and black fingerprints above the handle on the bathroom door were also apparent. On going out for the day I mentioned the stain down the wall to Reception who advised that they would have Housekeeping look at it. If they did nothing was done as it was still there when we returned which I found a bit disappointing. The next morning I went to take a shower only to find there was no hot water. . On checking out I mentioned this to Reception who just said "oh wow!". Not quite the response I was expecting. Maybe a "I'm very sorry I'll get someone to look into that" would have been better. Depite these little issues I really liked the hotel and would definitely return.
