Great price and value

So the YMCA is mainly centered around families, which after seeing the glowing reviews, I can totally understand why people love this place. It's massive, has all the activities you need if you have kids, and all the amenities you'd expect. My review is based on a solo trip to hike RMNP, so please consider it from that perspective.
A lot of what I've said is still applicable - even as a solo traveller you'd want for barely anything in this place. The rooms are average (but you need to consider the price vs anything else nearby) but clean, the shower was hot, and the noise curfew welcomed. They have services where you can hire equipment like spikes and poles, lovely views to watch the time pass by and very friendly staff.
Areas of improvement? The 3 meals I had there (1 lunch, 2 dinners) were hit and miss. The lunch was very average, the Saturday dinner of ribs and fried chicken was good, but the Monday dinner of Salisbury steak brought it down again. I have to take into account the price and quantity considering it's a buffet, but a little more care is a bonus. I was also actually surprised, considering the care and attention they've put into the place, they're still using disposable cups wrapped in plastic in the rooms. I'd also like to see a tipping option more prevalent for the staff - they def deserve it!
Overall though, these are extremely minor quibbles for a place that's charming and very well priced. I'd highly recommend it to families and travellers alike.
