I was very pleased with my stay!
I flew into Hartford for a family event in Wethersfield. I was thrilled at how CONVENIENT this was to the airport (20 Min) and Old Wethersfield (10 min).
I (woman) traveled by myself, and felt VERY SAFE here. The parking lots were well lighted, and it was in a pretty decent area.
The STAFF was very friendly and helpful. I went out for snacks, and the desk clerk helped me by getting plates, napkins and plasticware for me.
SNACKS in the lobby included water during the day, but other snacks (peanuts and m&m's; and fresh cookies) were available. Coffee and tea were available.
The hotel has been nicely RENOVATED. Nice and clean.
BREAKFAST was fabulous! Everything from cooked eggs (scrambled one morning, omelet the other), and hard boiled; many breads, muffins; oatmeal; waffles; and more.
Only TWO things that were not so good:
1) there is no grocery or restaurant nearby, so plan ahead. The clerk told me about Shoprite, which was a great store, about 3 miles away; and
2) I booked this HAMPTON through Hotels.com, but received an email from HILTON (I guess they have merged) saying I could download the HILTON app and do contactless check-in. I downloaded the app, but the reservation did not show up. This really concerned me. I called the Hilton, and they had no record of it. I trusted that my reservation that was on the Hotels.com app was actually in place, which it was. That is a little glitch in the system- so don't panic like I did.
