I stayed here this past weekend for Planet Comicon and overall it was a positive experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was a nice short walk to the convention center. However, there are was one big thing that bothered me, the food. I paid $25 including taxes and fees to have breakfast delivered to my room, and when I opened the box, I was disappointed in the portion size. A small pile of scrambled eggs, a sausage that couldn't have been more than two inches across, a hashbrown block about the same size as the sausage, and a couple pieces of toast. The taste was fine but it didn't fill me up as much as the asking price implied it would. I do recommend staying here, but make sure you have your own food and drinks to keep in the fridge.

We paid for a double bed bedroom and received a one bed bedroom. There were no rooms to exchange for us to get what we paid for and they did not change the rate of our room. It took 15 min to get our room even though it was clean and ready to go due to ‘inspection’. We were supposed to get a text when ready but we never did. I had to repeatedly go to the counter to check. Guests should also be aware that there is no parking garage- valet only which will cost you and takes 10-15 minutes to get your car each time. If you have somewhere to be- you should build that into your schedule- maybe even more time if there are a lot of people waiting for their cars. The lobby in the winter is freezing from the front doors constantly opening and shutting from valet which can make waiting for your car a little uncomfortable. In retrospect I would have called down to get my car ready and wait to come down. We ordered room service for breakfast, but like most hotels- it was expensive and you don’t get much for it. Better off just going out to get a bite to eat. And KC downtown is just loud in general- so sleep was a little tough….we probably would have experienced this at any of the downtown options to be fair. The convenience of this hotel was great and it’s cute from a boutique perspective- but I think that’s about where my positive comments start and stop on this review. Will not be returning.

Neither one of us got any sleep. It was so hard and uncomfortable. Front desk was very nice. Every time we talked to them the phone did not work in our room.. Good location Valet was very nice

Nice place, great location
The hotel lobby is so welcoming and cozy, I loved it. Although we arrived after 3pm, we were told our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait for just a short bit before getting our room. The room was nice and large. I think it could have been a bit nicer had they touched up the scuffed up walls. There was construction outside which prevented us all from sleeping. Definitely not the hotel’s fault, just something to think about if you’re staying there soon. I would stay here again.

Hotel experience
This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are amazing. I’ve never been in a hotel that have wooden floors and double doors that go into the bathroom. The only drawback is that there are no grab bars in the shower or by the toilet and it makes it difficult if you have a disability. Otherwise I would stay here again.

We arrived right at 3PM to check in and waited for around 2 hours to get into a room. The room we reserved was not ready and after waiting, I decided to ask how much longer it would be and staff was unsure. First time staying at this hotel and the delay kept us from what we had planned to do the day of.
