What a wonderful place to stay- more like a home than a hotel. David and Wendy were terrific hosts. Excellent soy latte and perfect poached eggs on sourdough for breakfast. We also availed ourselves of the hot tub which takes a while to prepare, but is amazing to sit out on a cool evening and watch the spectacular lightshow of the Remarkables at sunset. Would definitely return!

Happy hour! Free wine, beer and snacks each day between 5 & 6 PM. Close to everything. Short walk to the Kiei Park where we got see 4 kiwi at close quarters, and other New Zealand birds and the Tuatara. Also the chairlift is close as well as a short walk to the centre of Queenstown and its foreshore. There is a bit of a hill, but careful planning of our path minimised this. There is a nice cosy lounge which gives it a homely feel. Rooms are well appointed if a little small, but hanging out in the lounge ameliorated this , and at happy hour we got to meet new people.

Amazing views too Ashame there is no parking close by available, but I’m sure that would have been stated, I just booked in a hurry. "Great to be able to arrange an early check-in as we needed to be at the Earnslaw wharf for a Walter Peak cruise. Water taxi transport option was cheap and quick. Room was basic but functional. A bit more care with cleaning could be taken. Overall very enjoyable"
