I was really excited about our stay at this hotel based on other traveler reviews. Our experience was not great.
To start with the positives: the lobby is nice and modern, and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is bright and clean. The room size and bed were fine.
However, the hotel did not meet our expectations, primarily because of the unhelpful concierge staff. The staff was nice but we felt that the information they gave us was very "basic" and useless. For example, the map they gave us was a photocopied black/white map, and it was hard to see anything on it. We asked about information for Hop-on/Hop-off buses/trams etc. Surprisingly, they didn't have any info and simply told us to go to a nearby minimarket for more info.
We had just come from an excellent hotel in Porto (Ribeira Douro) where the staff was exceptional and really went out of their way to help us. We felt the exact opposite here and it definitely impacted our experience in Lisbon negatively. We didn't love the location, but that might have been because we didn't get a lot of guidance about what to do and where to go nearby.
Finally, on a more minor note, I would strongly recommend that the hotel include conditioner in the showers. I was surprised there wasn't any.
