So, I've stayed in Doubletree by Hilton in a number of places.... This one was by far the worst of them... Generally they are amazing, but, this particular hotel was, dirty and cramped. The room was tiny, the furniture was very dated. No room to store luggage. The TV reception didn't work (no reception, tho I wasn't really there to watch TV!). There was a handle in the shower that was half pulled out of the wall (which I reported and it is fixed within a couple of hours which is excellent!), tho the collar ring on the shower head thru the wall also fell off. I ran out of toilet paper. The air conditioner unit rattled. The windows are not soundproofed well so even on the 12th floor there was a fair amount of street noise. Just little things, but for a reasonably costly hotel I expected much better!

2 slow elevators for 27 floors : a nightmare They do not change sheets, they bring them to you BUT you change bedsheets yourself - never saw that in my life before Bathroom’s sink is small $3 a small basic bottle of water The rack for hangers is not slidable - a nightmare to suspend your clothes They give welcome warm cookies Staff is nice

Very modern hotel, the inside of the rooms compared to most other nyc hotels was very up to date. Great front desk staff, I was greeted each time we came in and out. They also offered some great chocolate chip cookies during check in and out that were warm and absolutely delicious!

I was happy that this hotel was close by to a lot of places. However, shocked that we had no one clean up our room even after asking twice. Getting towels was a struggle even when calling multiple times and only getting towels when we went to the lobby.
