My husband and I spent 8 nights at this adults only all inclusive resort. We enjoyed our stay and there were both positive and negative aspects to the resort. Positives: the pools were beautiful and well kept up. The drinks were flowing and nobody ever pushed for a tip (but we enjoyed tipping). The Consierge desk was very helpful and helped my husband plan a birthday surpise for me. Negatives: the buffet food was just ok. Making reservations for the 6 restaurants between the 2 resorts felt a little like the Hunger Games (we felt smug when we got to eat at each restaurant but also felt bad for those who couldn't figure out the app). Our room had a smell coming from the shower drain that you just couldn't get rid of. We also noticed a similar smell in other parts of the resort.

For the most part, we were happy with our room. While it needed some updating and repair, it was clean, serviceable and spacious for the two of us. There were only 2 days we had cold water in the morning, but it’s Mexico. By the afternoon, the water was fine.

Overall we were very happy with our stay!! The food was good and there were lots of options. The room was outdated (as we expected), but it was clean. The pool was really nice, and the staff were great. Our only real gripe was that we got given almost no information on check in and there was no info written anywhere in the room either. We had to ask about pool hours, wifi, how to make dinner reservations, where to get towels, etc. Luckily all the other guests we spoke to were absolutely lovely and helped us out, but that could be improved upon in the future.

With a little effort this property could have higher ratings. The staff was amazing and really go above and beyond to make your stay here great. Ubaldo from concierge, Carlos the door man and Pauola our house keeper noticeably stood out in making our stay at Crown Paradise Golden something to remember. With that being said... Crowen Paradise Golden should really consider updating the facilities (i.e. main pool, hot water heater, air conditioning in rooms and food at restaurants and buffet). My wife and I were celebrating 20 years with our first time out of the country together. We really enjoyed our trip to Puerto Vallarta and took advantage of being off resort as often as we could.

I have been to this property several times and continue to go back because it’s clean. The staff is friendly. It’s easily accessible to everything easily accessible from the airport. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.
