Overnight getaway to Ventura.
I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I couldn't rate the facility higher is that it is currently being renovated on the outside, but we knew that when we selected it, so that is bound to change. The staff is friendly, the place is clean. They had a free evening reception with snacks and drinks and their breakfast is wonderful. If you book a room with a fireplace, expecting a real fireplace you will be disappointed. It is a fake fireplace with fake flames. We enjoyed our room because we had plenty of space. It is located very close to downtown and the beach.

Not too impressed with exterior, interior was nice
The exterior was being remodeled/updated and we were not impressed. The interior was very nice and the room was large and comfortable. Our 1st floor room was supposted to have an ocean view, but was mostly train trellis and freeway for a view. It was close to downtown Ventura and walkable.

The outside of building is under construction and no one notify us of this. Front reception was rude when checking us in and asking questions. Room was clean but a bit dusty due to the construction outside. Kitchen employees were the nicest and most helpful during breakfast

The property is renovating the entire facade. Room was renovated but had that musty old hotel smell that’s hard to get rid of. The staff was so nice and friendly and we really appreciated the happy hour and breakfast. Abuts the highway and train so you do hear that noise. The pool looked like it was just redone as it was very clean. Again, the staff was fantastic!
