The staff is wonderful. The housekeeping is immaculate. When I told them at the front desk that I was there for my mother's funeral, they gave me a free upgrade—which basically meant a king bed. The facilities are a little rickety in places. My bathtub/shower had very little hot water pressure, so it wasn't possible to shower, only to patiently trickle a bath. (I'm sure they'd have changed my room if I'd reported it right away, but I was too busy to bother. They thanked me for reporting it before I left.) The electrical outlets are loose, so you can't be sure the devices you've plugged in are really charging. I discovered on the morning of my departure that my phone hadn't charged, and I then arrived at the airport without much time to spare (and charge), and got on a regional jet that didn't have outlets, so that was a cascading inconvenience.

Good location
Cool lobby, small elevator but functional. Small bathroom. Thin walls and ceilings. It seems pretty loud, but that could just the the crowd that was currently staying. Great location! Lots of stores and great little restaurants. We had an event at Lincoln Hall and just walked to It (just under a mile away).

Certainly a dated hotel. Room had a view similar to a prison. Nobody goes to chi to see a view like that. Room had hair all in the bathroom. Paper thin walls. Heard neighbour throwing up all night. Staff do not talk to you or make any eye contact. Just scan your card on the elevator. No reason to speak to anyone really. Just meh. It’s nothing special. Spring and summer prices there are laughable though. It’s ok I guess if you’re paying winter prices. But certainly would never spend 200-300 /night here. They also refuse to honour any hotels.com perks. Was suppose to have room upgrade and two drinks. They said they don’t honour those perks.

Overall I was impressed with the hotel. However I would like to mention the over night drink desk personal had unpleasant, borderline offensive comments about my having a late night guest. Also my room (which was very nice) was located near a utility closet and the staff was extremely loud to the point where sleep was not an option after first shift started. Otherwise the hotel was beautiful, clean, most of the staff was very welcoming. Excellent location!
