Nice Hotel close to transport
Pros:Staff are friendly. facilities work well. Location is close enough to Metro and Hop-On bus stop to walk to. Clean and well presented.
Location:Short walk past the Ibis World Square (did not time it) to Metro Station and taxis. Cafes nearby. More eating places over the other side of busy road.
Reception was very accomodating in letting me check-in and have a sleep after a long flight before the 1pm check-in time. Room got serviced daily. Quiet room. Could not hear noises from next room or corridor. The sound proofing works well.
Things to watch out for that are out of control of the hotel.
Walking at night be careful of speed hump strips on the road in front of the hotel. You can trip over them. Padestrain footpaths do not have ramps to wheel suitcases onto. Curb is about 4inch high.
If catching the Metro to the hotel from the airport, stay close to the door. Carriage gets very crowded close to World Square making it difficult to get off. If thinking of catching Metro early, it does not start running until after 6am. Taxi to airport is around 30Dirhams early in the morning, with little traffic on the really good roads.
