We realised by looking at previous reviews that this was a challenging property but were pleasantly surprised by many aspects. Our room was very spacious and reasonably quiet. The bed was comfortable We met staff who were unfailingly polite and helpful. They had to be - the room was lacking so many basics that we needed to ask for. The common areas were scruffy dirty untidy snd at times malodorous. Obviously there has been no maintenance on the building for some time and we did wonder if it’s due for demolition like the buildings around it. We were fortunate not to come across any cockroaches as others have but found the bathroom very dilapidated and shabby. No opening windows, an unwired fan sellotaped to the wall and a toilet bowl that beggared belief. As much as we appreciated the helpfulness of the staff we will not be returning.

This is one of those hotels you should not have in your list. I made reservations back in October of last year. The description, pictures and price looked good and for an expensive city like Sydney the price and location was very good. But as soon as we checked in we got a different picture. The lobby was messy and dirty, the elevator full of graffiti and dirty but all that was nothing until we got into the room. I normally don’t complain about a hotel. To me if it is clean and in a central location of a city I am happy but this was different. Most lights of the room didn’t work, there was nothing where to put waste, the tiles of the bathroom falling or missing etc,etc. In a few minutes I started looking for alternatives but decided to give them another chance and asked for a different room. The person at the front desk came to check the condition an gave us another room. It wasn’t too much different but a little better. We decided to stay the 4 nights instead of going somewhere else and lose money but I don’t recommend this place at all!!

The photos did not match at all. Everything was broken, smelled, looked unclean, the shower head was laying on the soap dispenser with now soap, the construction site next door was very loud at 7am. Everything was gross and cancelled my stay there except fpr the first night as no other place was available

First, the pictures online are not the room I got for sure, also note the building right next door was demolished, and the jackhammering each morning that starts at 7:30 am isn't the best for vacationers.
