It’s all true! Staff were welcoming and helpful- friendly and happily looked after our bags even after check out. Beds were clean and comfortable, rooms average size for central London. Everything worked. It’s also true that decor is dated- but I liked the price too much to care! Super close to Paddington Station and we felt safe coming home late after a show. Breakfast is a set menu, slightly dull but adequate.

The hotel was cosy, quiet, and very conveniently located. We only took advantage of the complementary breakfast once, but it was a lovely amenity. The upper floors might be a bit more challenging without AC in the warmer months, but the fan in the room was perfectly pleasant for a winter/spring visit. The proximity to Paddington Station was a major asset, and there were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and they made us feel very welcome as visitors from Canada.

Owner Mikle and assistant Helena they were going above and beyond to answer any questions we had. We forgot and lock our keys inside the rooms and the y didn’t hesitate to get their copies and unlock our rooms. Besides all he upgrade for free our regular room to a suit. We are highly recommend Mitre House Hotel for their stuff, hotel cleanliness and their location.

We have stayed at this property several times for our weekend in London. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Parking facilities available. We use public transport to get into central London to see a musical then on Sunday enjoy a walk through Hyde Park then taking in the sites such as Buckingham Palace through to Covent Garden. Look forward to our next stay.
