The Tavistock hotel were an absolute lifesaver for us on a recent holiday where my husband became unwell. They allowed us to check in early to our room and stay later until we needed to leave. They were so accommodating I could not speak highly enough about them.

For a smaller hotel, I found Tavistock lovely. The staff were very professional and friendly. To grab a quick "Bap" and coffee in the bar in the morning was perfect and affordable. My room was super quiet, far away from elevators. I would highly recommend, as it is also within walking of everything in London!

I really liked my stay at the Tavistock. Nothing super fancy but clean and warm, the beds were good, even though I had a twin room I had plenty of space, and it was super quiet. Just a 20 minute walk to the Thames and lots of great food options.

Loud music until very early hours
The hotel has a club on the bottom floor which isn’t mentioned online, it can be heard on the fifth floor which is where our room was; the noise was unbelievable and carried on until after 3/3.30am leaving us unable to sleep. When speaking to the reception about it we were told they’re trying to deal with the issue so they’ve clearly had complaints before but it is unacceptable to pay £170 for one night to them get no sleep, I would not recommmed this hotel

Basic room, needed updating. Not enough power sockets, especially around the bed. Comfy bed. Room door needed fixing. Tiny bathroom but all clean and usable. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Left luggage all day following checkout, really good service. Staff were friendly and helpful but had thick foreign accents which we struggled to understand at times.

We appreciated the staff being very hospitable. Only thing to note is how thin the walls are. We could hear our neighbors come and go. Our room was also unfortunately right next to the bowling alley. Thankfully people didn’t play so late into the night. Overall, had a good experience.
