My friend and I were put in a twin room that looked like a dorm in a backpackers. The room was half the size of a normal 4 star property, and the twin beds were head to toe along a wall, rather than side by side as they usually are. We couldn't find a photo of this room on their website. We asked if we could be moved to another room, and this was done quickly by the staff member. That said, the room was still very small, with no room to put anything down in the bathroom (unless you wanted to use the toilet as a vanity).
The restaurant was closed, and the cafe that was supposed to be taking diners from the hotel had also closed. We asked the hotel to book a taxi, which we had to do twice. After waiting 40 minutes we booked it ourselves and it came in 10 minutes. I've stayed in Brisbane many times in the last couple of years and never had a problem getting a cab until this hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but the overall experience was substandard for a 4 star hotel.
